EU says 'work continuing' after Juncker-May Brexit talks

British Prime Minister Theresa May and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker made headway in crunch Brexit talks on Wednesday but more work is needed before a crucial weekend summit, the EU said.

British Prime Minister Theresa May and European Commission President Jean-Claude Juncker made headway in crunch Brexit talks on Wednesday but more work is needed before a crucial weekend summit, the EU said.

"Very good progress was made in the meeting between President Juncker and Prime Minister Theresa May. Work is continuing," a spokesperson for the commission, the EU's executive arm which is leading Brexit talks, said.
