Telstra has unveiled a raft of management changes, including the arrival of former SBS boss Michael Ebeid as part of a wider organisational overhaul.

The telco giant says Mr Ebeid will run its enterprise team, while Brendon Riley will oversee its new infrastructure division, Telstra InfraCo and Robyn Denholm will take over as chief financial officer following the departure of Warwick Bray.

In addition to Mr Bray, three other executives are leaving Telstra, Stephen Elop, Will Irving and Joe Pollard.

Chief executive Andrew Penn said the changes, effective from October 1, were an important step in delivering Telstra's new strategy.

Telstra last month announced it would axe 8,000 jobs, sell assets and hive off its fixed network infrastructure as a new business in a bid to slash costs and improve performance.
