Queenslanders owe a whopping $1.23 billion in unpaid fines but the government says efforts to recover the money are working.
Police Minister Mark Ryan says the amount of money owed to the State Penalties Enforcement Registry (SPER) is up on the $1.19 billion it was owed about a year ago.
