Stocks to watch on the Australian stock exchange:

FZO - FAMILY ZONE - up 8 cents, or 20 per cent, at 48 cents

Shares in cyber-safety firm Family Zone have surged on the news its digital products will be rolled out across Indonesia's largest mobile carrier.

VRL - VILLAGE ROADSHOW - up 4 cents, or 1.0 per cent, at $4.00

LNU - LINIUS TECHNOLOGIES - down 0.25 cents, or 4.6 per cent, at 5.15 cents

Film distributor Village Roadshow and the company's co-chairman, Robert Kirby, have invested $1.5 million in streaming technology firm Linius.

CBA - COMMONWEALTH BANK - down 18 cents, or 0.2 per cent, at $82.94

NAB - NATIONAL AUSTRALIA BANK - down 21 cents, or 0.7 per cent, at $29.94

WBC - WESTPAC BANKING CORP - down 11 cents, or 0.4 per cent, at $31.29

ANZ - ANZ BANKING GRP - down 11 cents, or 0.4 per cent, at $28.75

Weakness in the financials sector outweighed gains in energy and material stocks, with sentiment low as investors await clarification on APRA's new capital rules.

OSH - OIL SEARCH - up 11 cents, or 1.7 per cent, at $6.78

STO - SANTOS - up 8 cents, or 2.7 per cent, at $3.07

WPL - WOODSIDE PETROLEUM - up 24 cents, or 0.8 per cent, at $30.28

Energy stocks were well supported with global oil prices gaining more than one per cent amid signs of increased Chinese demand.
